Just finished our video shoot today for Moda provocateur fashion show. I prepared a response to why I opened a salon. I didn’t use it but it made me reflect on it. Here it is: Originally I was looking to establish a nice, profitable salon. But looking back, I realized I get the most enjoyment seeing hairstylists grow. I’m seeing young, talented individuals starting the next chapter of their career. I love seeing them take on anything and doing it with confidence. Just like this fashion show. I want to provide them the freedom to know my salons have no boundaries on creativity. I’m overwhelmed at the art and imagination my coworkers have taken to the industry. For me, it’s all about seeing them unite and combine their collective talents in such an artistic way. That is my victory. Im so glad to be a part of their journey.
