We had a great trip to the Tacoma Glass Museum. We got to see a new exhibit, Complementary Contrasts: The Glass and Steel Sculptures of Albert Paley highlights the significance of glass in the body of work of celebrated sculptor Albert Paley. Though best known for his metal sculptures, Paley has incorporated glass in many commissions and exhibition works for over a decade. We also saw Michael Taylor's work, BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

We had a great trip to Mount St. Helens, first we had brunch at the famous Peper's 49er! They serve real good food and the staff are wonderful. The rest of the day was stopping at all the visitor centers all the way up to The Johnston ridge Center. We couldn't of asked for a better day it stayed at 70+ very few clouds. All and all it was a great trip! We have more great trips coming this summer our next outing is San Juan Cruises Whale Watching Tour. Be sure to look for the pictures next month

We had a great time at the Folsom Prism (Johnny Cash ) tribute, Great music and a perfect way to start off the concert series! Next Wednesday will be Smooth Jazz. Please come join us for a night of free music at the Kent Station 6:00 PM .........

We had a great day driving over Chinook Pass, we had lunch at Whistiing Jacks in Naches. It was 7o+ degrees a Beautiful and Sunny Day.Thank you to our welcoming committee for all your help we can't do it without you!!!!

We had a great 4th of July BBQ! Thanks to the Chef & his awesome staff. Also Thanks to Randy & Che for making it look so good! All of the staff & residents here at Farrington Court want to wish you and your family "A Happy & Safe 4th of July!!!!!"

We came aboard for a half-day whale watching experience in the San Juan Islands aboard one of their deluxe tour vessels, the Salish Express. Departing Saturdays, this tour gave us an excellent opportunity to see 5 or 6 Orcas and a Humpback whale in their natural environment, we took in the incredible scenery, and feasted on a delicious lasagna and Caesar salad lunch. The Salish Express has two levels of indoor and outdoor seating, a snack bar, and three restrooms. Departing at 12 noon from the Bellingham Cruise Terminal, we were in the heart of the San Juan Islands within minutes, making a beeline towards locations that have the best chance of seeing whales each day. San Juan Cruises are part of a local spotting network and in communication with other vessels throughout the Salish Sea – combined with the knowledge of their experienced captains, we were able to find whales. We of course could not get very close due to the laws that protect them, boats have to stay about 200 yards away. The Captain was wonderful, the food was wonderful and it was a relaxing, sunny day for a cruise. What more could someone ask for? Seeing the 5-6 Orca whales was “icing on the cake”.
