Did you know that every year 200 000 children across BC go hungry because of poverty? In Langley there are areas where the child poverty rate is as high as 45%... these stats shocked me! We have had the pleasure of meeting some pretty amazing local students that have put together a phenomenal inniative right here in Walnut Grove. Weekend Fuelbag provides food security by giving 80 students across 9 Langley high and middle schools bags of nutritious food every single weekend, 52 weeks per year! Buhf Beauty Boutique and Weekend Fuelbag want to create change in the community and we are challenging other businesses to step up and make a difference right here in our backyard - by sponsoring Weekend Fuelbag in some way.
