No cosmetics were applied to these brows!! I strategically left hairs in certain spots to hide holes and create symmetry while in the grow out phase. I will carefully fine tune your brows into their best natural shape to create your perfect frame.
Let’s talk exfoliation! If you have ever been waxed by a professional, you have probably been told you should exfoliate. But why? There are MANY reasons!!! Exfoliating before your waxing appointment can make it a more pleasant experience, it is also your number one defense against ingrown hairs that try to form after you have been waxed. Let’s break it down. What is exfoliation? Exfoliation is the removal of dry, dead skin cells clogging the skin surface and uncovers fresh new cells. It’s one of the most important parts of your home skin care routines for your face and body (next to moisturizing of course!). Without exfoliating, moisture cannot travel through the skin as well. This means any lotions or cream you are using are not preforming to their full potential. Pre-wax exfoliation is key to a great wax. Wax will stick to dead skin cells on the surface of your skin causing a more painful experience. A day or two before your appointment you will want to exfoliate gently with a scrub or exfoliating glove. This will also help lift any newly formed hairs trying to grow through the skin, giving them a chance to be grabbed by the wax, resulting in a smoother outcome. Remember, NEVER exfoliate the day of your waxing appointment, it WILL pre-sensitize your skin. Post-wax exfoliation combats ingrown hairs. When your hair regenerates after a wax, it’s brand new which means it is softer and finer. These hairs can sometimes get trapped under the skin and continue to grow. Left untreated they can become unsightly, inflamed and painful. Wait at least 2-3 days after your waxing treatment before exfoliating. Continuing to exfoliate the skin regularly (2-3 times a week) encourages these hairs to grow back up through the skin and prevents them from turning into annoying ingrown hairs. For the body I recommend Soothing Touch Herbal Therapy Organic Brown Sugar Scrub. The base is formulated with an Ayurvedic blend of oils (Almond, Safflower, Sunflower, Avocado, Grapeseed, & Apricot Kernel), 100% organic brown sugar containing AHAs that remove cellular debris, and vitamin E for its healing, antioxidant properties.
Enjoy your weekend everyone!!
